Mark Costello - Director
Mark Costello is the Managing Director of Asset Training Australia. Mark formed Asset Training Australia in 2008 following his role as a Franchise Training Manager with one of Queensland's highly regarded security training organisations. He identified the need to broaden the scope of training and develop an organisation that focused on providing flexible training suited to the needs of the students while maintaining the high standards required for a quality outcome.
Mark has worked as a Security Operations Manager, Security Officer and Crowd Controller (in many varying capacities), Workplace Health & Safety Officer, Human Resource Manager, Training Manager as well as a Soldier in the Australian Army. He has spent several years and continues to assist the Australian Army Cadets in the role of a Training Officer and Safety Officer. The involvement in this community based youth development program along with Mark's personal interest in the Outdoor Recreation Industry has led to the inclusion of Outdoor Recreation and Public Safety being added to the scope of registration for Asset Training Australia.
Currently, Mark acts as the Senior Instructor for the Security Qualifications and many of the short courses. He is also responsible for reviewing course materials and developing new courses.
