Productivity Places Program

The Productivity Places Program is a joint initiative of the Australian Government and the Queensland Government... Skilling for the future

Asset Training Australia has entered into a contract with the Queensland Government Department of Education and Training as a Preferred Provider of the following qualifications under the Productivity Places Program (PPP):

Asset Training Australia was allocated a limited number of places in each of these qualifications for eligible Job Seekers (Certificate 2 and 3 in Security Operations) and eligible Existing Workers in the Security Industry (Certificate 4 in Security & Risk Management). The places contracted are intended to be available between October 2009 and December 2010 however the program may end sooner if all places are allocated to eligible applicants.

It is a condition of the contract that participants must be Queensland residents and complete the training at our Brisbane North or Gold Coast training centres. Other locations are not eligible in this phase of the program.

Asset Training Australia has been advised by the Queensland Government Department of Education and Training that our interim proposal has been accepted and additional places will be made available under our current contract shortly. Select from the following PPP Application Forms, complete the forms and submit the application with all required supporting documents to Asset Training Australia. Please note that incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be approved. Original applications and certified copies of supporting documentation must be supplied prior to commencing the course.

Important Notes for Applicants

  1. Every section of the application form must be completed
  2. Copies of supporting documentation, where specified, must be submitted with the application
  3. Fax / Email submissions will be accepted for approval purposes however original application forms and certified copies of supporting documentation must be supplied prior to commencement of training
  4. Completed applications must be received at least 5 working days prior to commencement. Successful applicants will be notified in writing and must provide the Confirmation of Enrolment letter in order to commence training
  5. Applicants who have previously received PPP funding in "Security Operations" qualifications will not be eligible for funding under this phase of the program
  6. Licence application fees are NOT funded by PPP. These must be paid by the applicant to the Office of Fair Trading on successful completion of the course; the licence application fee is $320.50 (based on a 1 Year Unrestricted, Multiple Functions Security Providers Licence initial application).
  7. Approved applicants who fail to attend a course without providing reasonable notice or exceptional circumstances will have their enrolment cancelled in accordance with Asset Training Australia's standard policies and will not be able to re-apply for PPP funding.

Applicants that do not agree with or cannot comply with these conditions should not submit this application. Funded places are very limited and preference will be given to applicants that follow the correct applicaiton procedure.
