CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to carry out OHS requirements through safe work practices at any on or off-site construction workplace.

It requires the performance of work in a safe manner through awareness of risks and work requirements, and the planning and performance of safe work practices with concern for personal safety and the safety of others.

This unit also relates directly to the general construction induction training requirements of the Model Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 and relevant occupational health and safety regulations for Victoria and for Western Australia. Entry Requirements

What do I need before I start?

There are no formal prerequisite units required for entry into this course.

You will however require intermediate English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills.

This course is not open to international students (student visa 500).

If you already have skills and experience relevant to this qualification you may be eligible for RPL. With RPL, you will undertake evidence gathering activities to showcase your skills in the units of competency.  You can complete our Free Skills Assessment right now to determine if this is the right option for you.

An assessor will then be in contact with you to let you know whether or not you are a good candidate to participate in the RPL process.

Before enrolling, you will be required to complete a Free Skills Assessment to determine your eligibility for an RPL pathway.

After an initial assessment, if you wish to proceed, you will complete an Enrolment Form and be issued an invoice for an initial 50% deposit of the total investment. This is non-refundable. Throughout the RPL evidence gathering process if gaps in evidence are identified and full study is required, the training plan and fees will be discussed with you.

If you are eligible for full RPL on your qualification, on completion of the evidence gathering process you will be issued with the final 50% invoice to be paid prior to issuing of your certificate.

You will have 90 days to submit all appropriate evidence for your qualification. Should you exceed 90 days an extension fee will apply.

Assessment Re-Submission Fees

Should you be deemed not competent after 2 attempts at a unit of competency, an assessment re-submission fee of $50 will apply per assessment.

Re-Enrolment

Should you wish to cancel your course or your enrolment is cancelled by us due to no progress and you then wish to re-enrol, a re-enrolment fee of 25% of the standard course fee will apply if requested within 3 months of initial cancellation. If re-enrolment is requested within 4 – 12 months of initial cancellation, 50% of the standard course fee will apply.
