Australian Airports Association and Asset College
The Australian Airports Association (AAA) has launched seven exclusive scholarships to help people attend this year’s AAA National Conference.
The conference, taking place in Brisbane from 13-16 November, is the largest airport event in the Asia Pacific Region and is expected to attract more than 650 attendees.
Delegates can benefit from five programs across the four-day event featuring more than 80 Australian and international keynote speakers discussing the latest in airport innovation.
The AAA is offering three ‘Regional Airports’ scholarships, two ‘Women in Airports’ scholarships and two new ‘Young Airport Professional’ scholarships.
AAA Chief Executive Officer Caroline Wilkie said the conference is a great opportunity for learning and development and delegates will gain knowledge that will benefit the airport and wider community.
“The scholarship program has been developed to provide an opportunity for those who might normally not have the funding to attend the conference, to be able to gain technical training and industry development,” Ms Wilkie said.
“As well as gaining an insight into airports of the future and hearing from a wide range of industry experts, the conference provides a fantastic opportunity for our attendees to network and collaborate.”
Scholarships include attendance at the Conference for either days 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 as well as a $1500 travel allowance to assist with flight and accommodation costs. Networking events, including a place at the National Airport Industry Awards and gala dinner are also included.
The AAA has been joined by Airservices Australia, Asset College, To70, Canberra Airport, and Sydney Airport in sponsoring this year’s scholarships.
