Shooting Australia is just about to launch their biggest initiative yet to get Australian’s involved in the community and culture that is recreational shooting. The new endeavour, delivered for the first time in Australia currently has 88 clubs from every Member Body, in every state and territory around Australia registered to hold an event as part of National Come and Try May!
The event has been established due to a response from shooting clubs around Australia who are aligned with a collective national vision and mission, to share the sport of shooting with as many people as possible and show them just how much fun the sport can be.
If you are a club, anywhere in Australia and want to get on-board by signing up to host a Come & Try event at your location, you can do so here.
If you would like to find out more information about what is involved and requirements for clubs you can head to Shooting Australia’s website and uncover what it means to be a part of this national event.
For individuals who are interested in participating in a Come & Try May event, contact your local club to encourage them to host an event or register your support for their existing event. This is a great opportunity to showcase the community & culture that exists within the recreational shooting sphere to your friends and family and get them involved in the sport.
With the Commonwealth Games in full swing on the Gold Coast, featuring recreational shooting events from athletes right across the world, there has never been a better time to encourage participation in the sport. These events are very much community focused and it is hoped that the community is open to participation and seeing just how fun the sport can be.
