CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations (Existing Worker)
Security Officer (Cash-in-Transit) + Bodyguard + Security Supervisor

This course is for those who hold a current Security Providers Licence and wish to add Bodyguard and Cash-in-Transit as functions to their licence. 

Our CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations (Existing Worker) qualification builds on the foundation knowledge and skills developed while undertaking the Certificate II qualification or while working in the security industry.

This course addresses communication skills, workplace safety, organisational skills, workplace relationships, customer service and incident reporting.

It addresses subjects more comprehensively and includes specialised training to allow for the addition of the following functions on your Class 1 Security Providers Licence:

  • Bodyguard
  • Cash-in-Transit

Course Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Certificate III in Security Operations (Existing Worker) (CPP30411).

Once you have received your certificate you can then apply to the Office of Fair Trading for the following functions to be added to your Class 1 Security Providers Licence:

  • Cash-in-Transit; and
  • Bodyguard.

Entry Requirements

In order for you to enter this course you must:

  • Have completed CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations, Week 1 of the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations (New Worker) or hold a current QLD Security Providers Licence
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have no previous criminal convictions in the past 10 years
    Note; driving offences (e.g. speeding, drink driving, etc.) are not normally disqualifying offences.
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold the appropriate Visa to work within the Security Industry in QLD. Please note, we are unable to train international students or participants on a student visa.

You will require basic English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills to read and understand organisational policies and procedures, write reports and communicate with others in plain English.

You will be required to undertake an Online LLN ASSESSMENT prior to commencing enrolment in this course.

This course includes a total of 14 units.

This qualification is based on the licensing requirements to obtain a QLD Security Providers Licence and therefore units within this course cannot be changed.

  • CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk
  • CPPSEC3050A Load and unload cash in transit in an unsecured environment
  • CPPSEC3051A Implement cash-in-transit security procedures
  • CPPSEC3052A Inspect and test cash-in-transit security equipment

* Participants will receive a credit transfer for these units from their Crowd Controller Statement of Attainment; they are not included in the delivery time or cost for this course. If you have not previously completed these units, please contact us.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Asset College does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) on courses with industry licensing outcomes. This includes the Certificate II in Security Operations.

Online

Asset College does not offer online training for this course.

After completing this course it is strongly recommended that you go on to complete another security qualification in order to widen your employment opportunities. This may include:

Licensing Requirements

Security Providers Licence applications are administered by the Queensland Government Office of Fair Trading. The process for preparing and submitting the licence application will be covered on the course and options on how to submit your licence will be included.

There is a fee (not included in the cost of the course) to submit your licence. Refer to the Office of Fair Trading website for further information and current licence application fees.

To maintain your security licence you will required to undertake refresher training every three years. All security providers are required to maintain a current First Aid certificate, which is renewable every 3 years. A CPR Refresher every 12 months is also advisable.
