Studying retail gives you the skills needed to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.
In this qualification you will learn how to sell products, provide customer service and ensure safety and security in a retail environment.
At this level you may work with some independence under limited supervision. You may be responsible for supervising other team members and monitoring day-to-day workplace operations.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be awarded with a Certificate III in Retail (SIR30216).

This qualification requires no prerequisite units. It is however expected that participants are able to display sufficient English language, literacy, and numeracy skills at a year 10 level or equivalent.
Basic computer skills are required for this qualification.
Prior to enrolment participants may choose to undertake an LLN assessment.
Units of Competency
The Certificate III in Retail has a total of 13 units.
8 core and 5 electives.

OPTION 1 – Study Online
Study where and when it suits you by using our interactive elearning platform. You will have 12 months to complete this course at your own pace.
OPTION 2 – Study Online at our Facilities
You can complete the same online course at our facilities using our resources and equipment at no extra cost. We will also have staff available to provide additional support if required. Note: Subject to availability, bookings are essential.
OPTION 3 – Study in Class
We do not currently have any face-to-face workshops scheduled however, this course can be studied through a 2 week face-to-face workshop supported by a 20 hour placement. Students will be required to complete their studies via external learning after the workshop.
