Mandatory revalidation training including First Aid for Crowd Controllers and Bodyguards to maintain a Security Providers Licence.
Crowd Control Refresher plus First Aid
Anybody who holds a Security Providers Licence and is actively working in the security industry is required to complete Crowd Control refresher training in order to keep their skills and licence current.
This training must be completed every 3 years.
By enrolling in this course students will participate in the following units:
Students may also choose to undertake individual units depending on their licensing requirements. To determine the units that you may need to undertake, you can contact the Office of Fair Trading on 13 74 68 for confirmation.
*Please note that First Aid is delivered on a separate day to the crowd control refresher units.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following units:
Once you have received your certificate, you will need to provide this to the Office of Fair trading when renewing your licence.

Units of Competency
Students may choose to undertake all three revalidation units at the same time or individual units depending on their requirements.
|CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation||1 Day (4 hours) face-to-face; or
Self-paced external studies
|CPPSEC3013A Control persons using empty hand techniques||1 Day (8 hours) face-to-face|
|HLTAID003 Provide First Aid||1 Day (8 hours) face-to-face|
Note – CPPSEC3002A and CPPSEC3013A be completed on the same day supported by a self-paced assessment workbook.

QLD Security Providers licensing is administered by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
Once students have successfully completed this revalidation training they will be provided with a Statement of Attainment (Certificate) and Statement of Results outlining the delivery and assessment methods for these units. It is the student’s responsibility to submit both of these documents to OFT in order to comply with their licence requirements.
Revalidation training must be completed in full; the Office of Fair Trading will not accept certificates where these units have been achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
Please keep in mind that there is a fee for renewing your Security Providers Licence.
