BSB50615 Diploma of Human Resources Management

HR is more than just hiring new staff, it is about supporting existing staff in their career journeys so that they can become the most valuable employee they can possibly be for the organisation. Without a doubt, good HR management is essential for any business to survive and prosper.

Our Diploma of Human Resources Management will teach you how to:

  • Recruit the right staff
  • Manage workplace relations
  • Manage staff performance
  • Ensure workplace health and safety and;
  • Support employee industrial relations procedures

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resources management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resources functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area. Typically they would have responsibility for the work of other staff.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a Diploma of Human Resources Management (BSB50615).

Entry Requirements

This qualification has no formal entry requirements.

You will require intermediate English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills. If you have not previously completed a Certificate IV qualification you may be required to undertake an Online LLN ASSESSMENT prior to commencing enrolment in this course.

It is preferred that you have some supervisory experience before taking on this qualification.

If completing the online course, you will need:

  • Access to a computer with word processing, PDF reader capabilities and an internet connection

To be awarded this qualification you must successfully show competence in a total of 9 units.

  • BSBHRM506 Manage recruitment selection and induction processes
  • BSBHRM512 Develop and manage performance-management processes
  • BSBHRM513 Manage workforce planning
  • BSBWRK510 Manage employee relations
  • BSBWHS401 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements

Elective units*

  • BSBPMG522 Undertake project work
  • BSBRSK501 Manage risk
  • BSBMGT516 Facilitate continuous improvement

Delivery Options

OPTION 1 – Study Online

Study where and when it suits you by using our interactive elearning platform. You will have 12 months to complete this course at your own pace. You will be able to contact your trainer by email and phone for assistance.

OPTION 2 – Study Online at our Facilities

You can complete the same online course at our facilities using our resources and equipment at no extra cost. If you need some direction, we will have staff available to provide additional support if required. This option is not available at all locations, bookings are essential.

OPTION 3 – Study in Class

By request only. We can schedule a 5 or 10 day face-to-face workshop for groups of 5 or more students. Note that there may be additional work required following the workshop to complete the course in full.

OPTION 4 – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
