Overview

BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety

Qualified Work Health and Safety Practitioners are in high-demand across the country. This is due to an understanding by successful organisations that work health and safety plays a vital role in their day-to-day operations.

These organisations place creating a safe work environment of critical importance and understand just how important it is to have well-managed WHS processes and procedures. The benefits of doing so include staff retention and increased productivity for organisations.

On the other hand, not taking necessary steps to ensure WHS in an organisation can have severe consequences – which is why it is of utmost importance for businesses to protect their employees, customers and the public at large.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals coordinating and maintaining the work health and safety (WHS) program in an organisation. The qualification applies to supervisors and managers who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.
