About the Ashmore area

Ashmore is an inner-city suburb of the Gold Coast. This relatively new suburb was established in the 1970s starting with a housing estate called Ashmore Village and expanding to include Ashmore Shopping centre, several schools, parks and sporting facilities.

This family-focused community situated just 20 minutes from the Gold Coast beaches boasts plenty of green spaces, the botanic gardens and shopping amenities. Ashmore is one hour south of Brisbane city on the M1 highway.

Getting to Ashmore

You can get to our Ashmore campus by jumping on the M1 if you’re coming from Brisbane and driving south towards the Gold Coast, take exit 66 for Smith Street and then Napper Road and look for the Currumbin road turn off.

You can get to Ashmore on the 741 bus route from Australia Fair and the nearest railway station is Nerang station.

What’s on offer at Asset College Ashmore?

Asset College moved to our new Gold Coast campus in 2020. Located in the beautiful suburb of Ashmore near the Gold Coast botanic gardens and just across the road from Ashmore Shopping Centre.

Our Ashmore campus has so much to offer, with a specialised training area for aviation security workshops and customised classrooms. At our Ashmore campus we offer practical security training, approved aviation security training with real aviation security equipment like metal detectors and scanners as well as JP/Cdec courses. We can also offer RSA, White Card, Drug and Alcohol Testing and Health and Safety Representative courses.

Our Ashmore campus is also home to some of our course advisors and administration staff. These experts are on hand to assist you with the enrolment process, course advice and employment support after you complete your studies.

With the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens just down the road and Main Beach only a short drive away, there’s plenty to do around our Ashmore Campus! Stop in at the Ashmore City Shopping Centre across from the campus for a spot of retail therapy before or after class. Or get some lunch from one of the delicious eateries in the area.

Make sure to get yourself a hardy breakfast from Green Days at Bundall. This cafe has Aussie classics with an authentic bush-tucker twist.
