Industry Partnerships Creating Real Employment Outcomes for Students

On Friday the 11th of November 2016, Asset Training Australia proudly hosted another joint initiative targeting employment within the security sector at our Spring Hill Campus. In partnership with SNP Security and Brisbane City Council, over 70 aspiring security officers attended an employment seminar where they heard about some exciting upcoming opportunities in the sector.

Attendees heard from Asset Training Australia’s biggest driver of a streamlined approach for education and employment, Mike Addicott on pathways from training to employment and de-bunking the old school belief that security is just about crowd control.

SNP Security’s Gerard Nolan then took attendees through their openings and employment opportunities available and the skills and attributes required to be a successful member of their organisation. SNP Security have multiple roles available across Brisbane City Council, Translink and Coca Cola, amongst others.

Representatives from Brisbane City Council also attended the sessions, allowing prospective employees first hand insight into the clients they may be working for in the future and their expectations.

Asset Training Australia would like to wish all attendees every possible success in their endeavours.

If you missed out on attending this day, Asset run regular pre-employment sessions weekly at both our Spring Hill & North Lakes campuses. Even if you are not a student of Asset, these services can be beneficial to you as well. For more information, please visit our website or contact us on 1300 731 602.
