Contract First Aid Trainers

We are looking for experienced First Aid Trainers interested in working with a college leading the way in the training sector.

Working at Asset College you will be given all of the tools required to perform your job successfully. We offer training in Brisbane, North Lakes, Gold Coast and Logan.

Applicants should be able to deliver (at a minimum) the following units of competency:

  • HLTAID001 Provide CPR
  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid

All trainers must:

  • Hold TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card and current drivers licence.
  • Be committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining industry currency
  • Have the ability to work autonomously, while understanding the need for team work to achieve goals in a training business
  • Have the ability to pay attention to detail and strive for quality standards, ensuring compliance requirements are always adhered too
  • Have the ability to engage learners in a classroom environment
  • Have experience working with diverse groups of students
  • Have a willingness to participate in course development activities
  • Hold high level verbal and written communication skills

Aviation Security Trainer

  • Hold Security Trainer Licence for the state you facilitate training in
  • Trainer/Assessors must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in leadership or management positions within the security industry

Customer Service Traineeships

Asset College are seeking candidates for a Course Advisor role based at our Ashmore Location on the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to speak to potential students who are looking to upskill, change industry or return to the workforce.

This is a traditional telephone based sales and enquiries role, but it also requires a strong rapport building element as education is a unique product.

  • There will be opportunities for further development and training.

This role reports to the Call Centre Manager and has the flexibility to plan and manage their own schedule to meet organisational objectives. The successful candidate will have support from other staff within the team – Administration, Client Services, Marketing and Communication, Human Resources and Third Party Managers.

This is a permanent full-time role with a 6 month probationary period.

Skills and Experience

  • Course Advisor experience (preferred but not essential)

Firearms Instructor

We are looking for an experienced Firearms Trainers interested in working with a college leading the way within the training sector.

With many industry and corporate contacts, Asset College have developed courses that not only meets, but exceeds industry standards within the sector.

We are predominantly looking for someone with the skills and experience to deliver but not limited to instructing our Firearms Course.

Primary role will be delivering the QLD Course in Firearm Safety for Category A, B and H. Opportunities to deliver other firearms courses and/or conduct activities for ASSET Firearm and Crossbow Club available for the right applicant!

Must be available for course delivery on Monday evenings and Saturday/Sunday. Expected to deliver at least 2 courses per month.

Will have the opportunity to undertake professional development and deliver other courses in future. Must be able to work unsupervised.

Skills and Experience

All applicants must hold –

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
  • Must have QLD Category AB Firearms Licence and Category H Concealable Firearms Licence.
  • Additional categories and types of firearms licences are beneficial but not essential
  • At least 3 years experience in sports/target and other shooting activities is essential
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a working with children check
  • Hold a current drivers licence
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for Vocational Education and Industry experience
  • Ability to work autonomously, while understanding the need for team work to achieve goals in a training business
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and strive for quality standards, ensuring compliance requirements are always adhered too
  • Ability to engage learners in a classroom environment
  • Experience working with diverse groups of students
  • Experience working with online assessment tools and learner management systems
  • Previous experience with aXcelerate is required
  • Curriculum writing experience and willingness to participate in course development activities
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy skills
