UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel

This Competency Standard Unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Course Outcomes

Upon the completion of this course successful applicants will be awarded a statement of attainment for UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel.

Entry Requirements

Participants must hold a current HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) prior to completing this course.

It is expected that participants have English language, literacy, and numeracy skills equivalent to at least Year 10 level.

Please be advised we are unable to train students on a student visa. You must find a CRICOS registered training provider.

Delivery Options

This course is only available for group bookings. It is run in a half day workshop supported by a self-paced assessment workbook. For group bookings at your office or ours, minimum numbers of 6 people is required.

Licensing

The skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the work place subject to regulations for undertaking of electrical work.

Practice in workplace and during training is also subject to regulations directly related to Occupational Health and Safety, electricity/telecommunications/gas/water industry safety and compliance, environmental protection, anti discrimination and training.

Commonwealth, State/Territory or Local Government legislation and regulations may exist that limits the age of operating certain equipment.
