Outdoor leader training is available in five modules.
Each module is prerequisite to the next. The course is structured in this way so that you may exit at the end of each module with a valid qualification should you wish to complete your studies at that point.
As you gain experience and build skills you will work through the Qualification framework as follows;
Module one: completes your assistant Leader training
- you can exit the course at this point with a Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation
Module two: completes activity guide training
- you can exit the course at this point with a Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation
Module three: completes your Certificate IV training
- you can exit the course at this point with a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation
Module four: completes your Diploma level training
- you can exit the course at this point with a Diploma of Outdoor Recreation
The Wilderness First Responder Module (Wilderness First Aid skills set) can be studied at any time as it is a standalone course. It is comprised of elements of core training and elective units from the Certificate II, III and IV.
RPL is available for persons who have requisite experience.
Training is delivered by both practical and self-paced study. The practical component is held around Brisbane.
The course is highly practical and attendance at practical and on the job training is key to training delivery. Practical skills training is supplemented with self-paced study with tutorial attendance provided for core units.
Please note; As most people already hold a First Aid Certificate, this cost of such is not included in the above price.We can arrange a First Aid certificate or CPR refresher for you at a competitive price should you require.
Our training program is based on Guide Abseiling & Rockclimbing. Additional activities may be studied at additional cost. An exact costing can only be provided once I am aware of the activity units that you wish to study and, if you have current skills.
