About the Parramatta area
Parramatta is a suburb and business district in the greater western Sydney area. Parramatta was founded as a British settlement in 1788 making it the oldest inland European settlement in Australia.
This bustling business district boasts some of the best shopping around with Westfield Parramatta situated just down the road from our campus and a thriving foodie paradise of restaurants, bars and cafes in the surrounding streets.
Parramatta is located about 35 minutes west of Sydney by car.
Getting to Parramatta
Coming from Sydney you can hop on the A4 west and then take the M4, get off at Prospect Street in Rose Hill and follow Prospect Street for 20 kilometers. Then take Crown Street, Harris Street and finally High Street to arrive at Cowper Street.
If coming by train you’ll want to travel to the Parramatta train station. This station is only 500 meters from our campus. Depending on where you are coming from, you could also jump off at Harris Park Station which is only about a 4 minute walk to our Parramatta office.
What’s on offer at Asset College Parramatta?
Asset College opened our new custom-designed Parramatta campus in 2021. Our largest campus to date, the Parramatta campus, has plenty to offer students. In our beautiful new location, we have customised classrooms, a student break room and kitchenette. At our Parramatta campus we offer aviation security training where students will have a simulated practical experience, complete with metal detectors and other aviation screening equipment.
Our Parramatta campus also houses some of our administration so there are staff available to assist you with your enrolment. We also regularly host employer events with some of the countries largest security industry employers.

Located in the bustling business district of Parramatta surrounded by retail outlets, restaurants and cafes, there’s heaps of things for students to do! Drop in for some retail therapy after class at the Westfield Parramatta Shopping Centre.
Grab a coffee before class at Circa Espresso. Their hand-selected bean blends are roasted in-house for coffee perfection.
Satiate those hunger pangs you worked up on the mat with one of Harvey’s famous hot sandwiches in Parramatta Town Square . This retro diner style spot is the perfect place for a manly sized sub, a Philly cheesesteak or a meatball sandwich.
