“He’s ex-defence”, is a familiar statement heard quite frequently at Asset COLLEGE. This is because a large number of our staff and trainers are in fact former members of the Australian Defence Force.
Asset College is proud to employ ADF members and support veterans in business. That’s why we have teamed up with an organisation whose emphasis is on connecting veterans right across the country.
Australian Veteran Owned Business is a unique not-for-profit organisation that certifies the achievements of former ADF members in the business space. They have created a community like none other, where veterans can recognise and select the businesses they wish to support through this certification.
In regards to training, Asset College’s management team find that former ADF members have the discipline, skills and commitment to be excellent trainers. They have the ability to engage learners in any subject, work with diverse people and groups and push them to achieving their goals through further study.
Some of the greatest feedback Asset College receives from its students and clients can be attributed to those ex-defence trainers and assessors.
Sometimes former ADF members are surprised in the number of services Asset College can provide to them when they make the transition to civilian life. Ex-service men and women have gained a multitude of transferable skills throughout their career that can be converted to a nationally accredited qualification through the Recognition of Prior Learning process.
Asset College specialise in RPL for defence and understand that defence members find comfort in knowing that their skill set is assessed by someone with similar stories to tell. They know that Asset College will deliver a service that is of high standards and in accordance with similar values.
Asset College is proud to be a veteran owned, veteran operated, AVOB certificated business providing vocational education and training to members of the ADF and those no longer serving.
