This course has been designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, in a range of situations.

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.
The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide an advanced first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid (Statement of Attainment).
Students must be physically capable of responding to first aid emergency scenarios, including providing CPR to a manikin on the floor. Anyone in a wheelchair or with other disabilities that may impact their participation in these activities should contact us to discuss their individual circumstances before enrolling.
What will I need to provide to enrol?
International students are accepted into this course.
We require all of the above to be completed and until all of these are received your spot is still tentative and therefore if the course becomes full, your booking may be moved.
If you only need the Advanced First Aid upgrade, you will need to provide us with a copy of your current Provide First Aid certificate on enrolment.
Units of Competency
The full two day Advanced First Aid course covers the following units:
If you hold current HLTAID009, HLTAID010 and HLTAID011 certificates and only need to complete an upgrade, you will only need to attend the second day of the Advanced First Aid course.
The practical component of this course is delivered face to face over 2 workshop days 8.30am – 5.00pm. Students are required to complete an online assessment prior to attending the face to face workshop. If your require assistance with your online assessment, complete as much as you can your trainer will provide you with support when you attend your workshop.
If you already hold a current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate and wish to complete just an upgrade day the cost is $200 and you will only need to attend on Day 2. You must supply us with your current Provide First Aid certificate.

Assessment Re-Submission Fees
Should you be deemed not competent after 2 attempts at a unit of competency, an assessment re-submission fee of $50 will apply per assessment.
