This course has been designed to equip those, who for work or recreation, travel in remote areas, where in the event of an accident causing injury, medical help will be delayed.
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation.
The unit applies to workers who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance.
On successful completion of the course, participants will be issued with a Provide First Aid in remote situations (Statement of Attainment).
This course requires that students must have previously achieved HLTAID003 Provide first aid within the last 6 months. Current certificate to be provided at the time of enrolment.

This workshop will be delivered over 2 days, 8 hours each day face-to-face.
The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that First Aiders complete a CPR Refresher course every 12 months and the full First Aid Course every 3 years.
