Description of Role

Accounts Payable Clerks are mainly responsible for completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

They are expected to maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions, as well as compiling accounts payable records and keeping all relevant information confidential. They also disburse petty cash, record it’s entry and verify it’s documentation.

Accounts Payable Clerks must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, thoroughness, organisation, data entry skills and general math skills in the conduct of their role.
