In the conduct of their job, Customer Service Advisors help promote the company, inform customers of services that suit their needs, suggest products and direct customers to the appropriate personnel, if necessary. They also answer incoming calls, update client accounts, process customer correspondence and perform relevant administrative functions.

Depending on the industry they are working for, Customer Service Advisors may perform their role over the phone, face-to-face or online.
