Description of Role

Educators are responsible for the instruction and supervision of students, including guidance, academic and character development and safety. It is their primary role to plan, organise and implement appropriate instructional programs in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential.

Educators plan, create and provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. They instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials, and evaluate the students’ performance and development. They likewise maintain an accurate, updated and complete record of student progress and necessary documentation.

Educators should meet the professional teaching requirements of their institution and/or state. Verbal and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail, learning orientation, critical thinking, flexibility and adaptability, organisation and planning and high energy level are just among the skills desired of Educators.
