Description of Role

Information Desk Clerks perform routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work, including answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing and record-keeping. They also maintain and locate records and information that customers need.

Information Desk Clerks operate in a professional office environment and use standard office equipment. They are also expected to exercise communication efficiency, ethical conduct, flexibility, initiative and time management to effectively and efficiently perform their role.
