Description of Role

Professional Development Managers are responsible for building training and development programs and services to improve an organisation’s overall people capability. They play a vital role in the development of individuals, the functioning of key teams and an organisation’s collective ability to consistently provide outstanding service.

More specifically, Professional Development Managers work closely with individuals on their developmental needs, interests and objectives. They also strategise with case managers about building and running effective teams.

They must possess thorough knowledge of professional development programs, needs, analysis and activities.  Likewise, they must have sound knowledge of professional development and training strategies and implementation of programs.
