RTO Assessors work within or for a registered training organisation to assess students. They do not necessarily deliver the training although a lot of assessors can also conduct training.
RTO Assessors identify the various needs of students and create effective learning options to satisfy these needs. They liaise with individuals, industry and education sectors to ensure that relevant programs and services are provided.
As a minimum requirement, RTO Assessors need a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. They must also possess competencies and skills at least to the level of qualification that they are assessing. RPL Facilitators may fall under this category.
