Description of Role

Training Advisers or Training Needs Analysts organise, deliver and develop high quality training courses using a flexible, progressive and professional approach by conducting training needs analysis and validation of assessments. They serve as specialists in the planning and execution of instructional assignments.

To be effective in the performance of their role, Training Advisers or Training Needs Analysts remain up-to-date on developments in training and instructional methodologies, including technology enhancements. This level of familiarity and knowledge is also important as Training Advisers/Training Needs Analysts may be tasked to assist in the professional development of less senior staff.

They should be able to analyse current and future strategies regarding training, and should be able to implement new and innovative training strategies into an organisation. They should also have excellent problem solving, communication and organisational skills, and be able to work independently and communicate with employees at all levels in an organisation.
