Description of Role

Word Processing Operators use computer and software to render text in digital form. They type letters, reports, forms and other materials from rough drafts, corrected copies or voice recordings.

Word Processing Operators may not only type documents; they may also check them for spelling, grammar, and formatting errors. Oftentimes, they are also responsible for printing the documents they prepare or store them until they are needed. They may also perform other clerical duties as assigned to them.
