About this Funding

jobs and skills waAsset College has been approved to deliver qualifications under Jobs and Skills WA. 

These courses fit under the following programs:

Participation – Work Readiness

This program aims to assist unemployed people who are job ready, seeking the relevant skills and experiences to access meaningful work so they can participate fully in the workforce.

Priority Industry Training Program – Existing Worker

This program focuses on making available a range of qualifications that address priority industry needs of the State through a non employment-based training pathway.

Qualifications Available and Fees

Asset College has been approved to deliver the following qualifications under Jobs and Skills WA funding.

  • CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations

Non-Concession: $2005.68
Concession: $604.17

  • CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis

Non-Concession: $2,586.40
Concession: $779.10

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as Student service and resource fees

Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility

  • Be no longer at school
  • Have your primary place of resident in Western Australia
  • Be:
    • an Australian citizen; or
    • a permanent visa holder or holder of visa subclass 309, 444, 449, 785, 786, 790, or 820; or
    • a dependent or spouse of the primary holder of a visa subclass 457 or 482**; or
    • a bridging visa holder who has made a valid application for a visa subclass 866; or
    • a bridging visa E holder (subclasses 050 and 051) who has made a valid application for a visa subclass 785 or 790.

Participation – Work Readiness

To be eligible for this program, students must be unemployed or under-employed* and able to access mainstream funding.

Students must:

1) have a written referral from an Approved Participation Referral Agent for Job Seekers; or

2) be referred by themselves; another agency or recruited by the Service Provider and have a “health care card” or “pension card”.

*Under employed is an individual working less than 20 hours a week with one or across multiple employers.

Priority Industry Training Program – Existing Workers

  • Be currently employed.
  • Not have an active apprenticeship/traineeship training contract registered on WAAMS.

Application Process

  1. Review the course information and information and then contact us if you require any clarification regarding the course content, inclusions, outcomes, policies and procedures, entry requirements, attendance requirements or pathways.
  2. Submit your application online here.
  3. Complete an enrolment form here.
  4. Provide us with your Unique Student Identifier.
  5. Undertake the Online Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment. We will send you an invite to this assessment based on your selected qualification level.
  6. Your application will be assessed by Asset College’s Compliance Team and you will receive a written response usually within 3 – 5 days.
  7. Pay your contribution fee (if applicable).
  8. Sign your training plan.
  9. Commence your course.

All students enrolling in a course will be required to supply a Unique Student Identifier and will be requested to do so on their enrolment form. More information about the Unique Student Identifier can be found here.

Asset College will recognise Statements of Attainment issued by other RTOs and will grant credit towards qualifications for current and equivalent units of competency.

Asset College is not a VET student loan authorised provider.

Terms and Conditions

Applications are subject to approval by Asset College’s Head Office. Submitting a completed application does not guarantee approval of funding. Training cannot commence until you have received written confirmation of your application being approved.

  1. Availability of funding is subject to change without notice at the discretion of the Western Australian Government.
  2. Participants must provide additional information / feedback to Asset College within three months of completing their qualification.
  3. Applicants who are registered Job Seekers should consult their Workforce Australia Provider prior to submitting an application. Your Workforce Australia Provider may be able to provide additional support services.
  4. Additional terms and conditions will be outlined on the application forms and are subject to change.
  5. Participants are required to submit and pay for their own industry licence applications (where applicable). These are not included in the funding program.
  6. Students can only access the Jobs and Skills WA program through approved training providers.
