SITHFAB002 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
Do you know how to handle intoxicated people in your role as a hospitality provider? Ensure you are aware of the rules and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol in the hospitality industry with our Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course.

In this course, you will learn how to responsibly sell and/or serve alcohol.

Responsible practices must be undertaken wherever alcohol is served or sold, including where alcohol samples are served during on-site product tastings. This unit, therefore, applies to any workplace where alcohol is served or sold, including all types of hospitality venues, retail liquor outlets and wineries, breweries and distilleries.

This unit applies to all levels of sales personnel involved in the sale, service and promotional service of alcohol in licensed premises. Those selling or serving alcohol may include;

  • Food and Beverage Attendants
  • Retail Liquor Sales Persons
  • Security Staff
  • Winery, Brewery and Distillery Cellar Door Staff and;
  • Supplier Sales Representatives.

CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work Safely in the Construction Industry (OHS White Card)
This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work.

The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

However participants are expected to have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to read and understand signs; read and follow organisational policies and procedures; complete simple calculations using whole numbers and percentages; and communicate clearly in English.

Participants who have not previously completed any vocational education and training may be required to undertake an Online LLN ASSESSMENT prior to commencing enrolment in this qualification.

Delivery Options

Delivery options vary between locations.

North Lakes and Spring Hill classes are run on a fortnightly basis subject to trainer availability.

RSA is run 8.30am – 12.30pm
White Card is run 1.00pm – 5.00pm
(Half hour break for lunch, lunch not provided)
