Licensing Requirements
To work in Queensland as a Security Officer (Unarmed) or Crowd Controller, individuals must hold a Class 1 Security Providers Licence, issued by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Completing CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations provides the training component required to support an application for these licence functions.

› Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
- $900 – For eligible candidates completing the qualification entirely through RPL
RPL is available to individuals who can demonstrate competence through documented industry experience and evidence. Examples include Security Officers who have recently let their licence lapse, and some others with relevant experience such as Police, Corrections, Defence, etc.

All licensing fees are payable directly to the Office of Fair Trading when applying for a Class 1 Security Providers Licence.

› Blended Delivery (Standard Option)
This course combines self-paced online study with eight days of face-to-face practical training. Students complete theory components online at their own pace before attending scheduled practical sessions at an Asset College campus or regional training location.
