Course Overview
CSC30122 Certificate III in Correctional Practice
Asset College only offers this qualification direct to the public through Recognition of Prior Learning.
If you’re already working in the correctional services field, the Certificate III in Correctional Practice offers an opportunity to have your existing experience formally recognised through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
This qualification is suited to individuals currently involved in the supervision and monitoring of offenders and detainees in both custodial facilities and community-based settings. Through RPL, you can gain credit for the skills and knowledge you’ve already developed on the job—reducing duplication and helping you achieve a nationally recognised qualification faster.
The Certificate III reflects the practical, foundational skills needed for a wide range of roles across the correctional environment. This may include:
-
Supervising or monitoring offenders in detention or under community orders
-
Supporting case management or administrative functions
-
Maintaining safety and security procedures
-
Assisting in the delivery of offender programs and services
-
Engaging with families, communities, or service providers
-
Performing operational, technical, or support tasks within custodial or community contexts
Whether you work with adults or youth, in custody or the community, this qualification can be tailored to match your experience—recognising the value of the work you already do.
