QLD Refresher Training for Crowd Controllers and Bodyguards

Course Overview
QLD Refresher Training for Crowd Controllers and Bodyguards
**This course has online learning and assessment that must be completed prior to attending your face to face workshop.**
Every three years, crowd controllers and bodyguards are required to undertake refresher training. You should check with the Office of Fair Trading prior to booking your refresher training what units you will be required to undertake.
This mandatory training ensures licensed security professionals continue to meet legislative requirements while enhancing their practical skills and industry knowledge.

Course Outcomes
On completion of this course you will be awarded with a statement of attainment for the following two units of competency:
- CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation
- CPPSEC3121 Control persons using empty hand techniques
Entry Requirements
In order to participate in this course, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a current Security Providers Licence in QLD
- Must have sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to read and interpret legislative documents, organisational policies and procedures, draft incident reports and communicate in plain English
You will need access to a computer with an internet connection to complete the online component of this course.
Units of Competency
- CPPSEC3101 Manage conflict and security risks through negotiation
- CPPSEC3121 Control persons using empty hand techniques

Security Licensing
QLD Security Providers licensing is administered by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Once students have successfully completed this revalidation training they will be provided with a Statement of Attainment (Certificate) and Statement of Results outlining the delivery and assessment methods for these units. It is the student’s responsibility to submit both of these documents to OFT in order to comply with their licence requirements.
Revalidation training must be completed in full; the Office of Fair Trading will not accept certificates where these units have been achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Assessment Re-Submission Fees
Should you be deemed not competent after 2 attempts at a unit of competency, an assessment re-submission fee of $50 will apply per assessment.
Online + 1 day in class
Completion of the online assessment prior to attending your face to face workshop is mandatory. Should you not complete your online assessment, you will not be permitted entry to the face to face course. You will need to rebook and this will incur a rebooking fee of $50.
You should allow up to 8 hours to complete the online learning and assessment.
The practical day in class will run from 8.30am – 5.00pm.
